Maker Faire Singapore showcases the amazing work of all kinds and ages of makers—anyone who is embracing the do-it-yourself (or do-it-together) spirit and wants to share their accomplishments with an appreciative audience.

Maker Faire Singapore 2017

Event Date: July 22nd and 23rd 2017, (Set up on 21st July 2017)
Location: Science Centre Singapore

Application Schedule
1st Round: Open till April 30th 2017
2nd Round: Closes May 15th 2017
*Applications submitted in the 1st Round are reviewed first.

Applications submitted before February 20th will be notified before the end of March.
Late Entries: Applications received after the deadline will be reviewed based on available space. Apply below.

We particularly encourage exhibits that are interactive and that highlight the process of making things.

Terms and Definitions

Maker: Individuals, groups, schools and organizations that would like to demonstrate what they make and/or how it works in an all-weekend exhibit space; interactive exhibits are encouraged. Includes Non profit and Cause or Mission Based Associations, Institutions and Organizations. Makerspaces or Hackerspaces will receive free exhibit space at Maker Faire if they are not selling products.

Free to participate, Showcase of project or work, No selling allowed, 1-2 booth spaces for 2 days, Custom spaces available on request, Workshops and presentations

Commercial Makers: Individuals who would like to sell or market products along with demonstrating what they make at their maker exhibit. There must be demonstration at the booth otherwise it is considered a Vendor application. Please note, startup companies, corporate entities, and established companies do not qualify as Commercial Makers. They automatically go into Vendor.

Selling of products that you have made, 1-2 booth spaces for 2 days, $50 per booth for 2 days, Workshops and presentations

Vendor/Startup Company: Startup Companies that meet the following criteria can participate in Maker Faire for a reduced fee. Startup Company criteria: been in operation 5 years or less, business consists of more than 1 and under 10 employees, privately funded or have startup capital of no more than $3 million, pre-profitable and gross sales under $1 million.

Selling of products / kits that you have not made, You already have an existing business, 1-2 booth spaces for 2 days, $200 per booth for 2 days

Company: All companies that are larger than the start up company criteria above. A fee of $2000 applies for companies who are not sponsors (Limited spaces available)

Community Partners: Any combination of makers and commercial makers, Curating a minimum of 5 booth spaces, Logo will be placed in the onsite banner and website, Organizers will work with you to get the best possible location for the community space, Cost is per commercial maker booth

What Happens Next

After receiving the Call for Makers notice and applying, we will send an email confirming that we have received your entry form. If you don’t receive this email, let us know: Acceptances are sent via email approximately 2 months before the show. Once accepted, begin to plan for your participation. We will send regular Maker Newsletter updates in advance of the event.
